Playscript Expert Assessment Panel for assessing performance applications
To enhance the assessment on funding applications for premiere performances and re-run performances of newly written/adapted Cantonese opera plays and to ensure that the premiere/re-run performances of the innovative plays are up to standard, the Cantonese Opera Development Fund (CODF) has invited individuals with appropriate credentials to form the Playscript Expert Assessment Panel (the Playscript Assessment Panel). The Playscript Assessment Panel will help the CODF assess the quality of playscripts under application for innovative performance in each round of funding application.
Major responsibilities of members of the Playscript Assessment Panel
Members of the Playscript Assessment Panel will receive the playscripts, which include premiere performances and re-run performances of newly written/adapted Cantonese opera plays, under application for innovative performance in each round of funding application. They are required to assess the quality of each playscript in an objective and impartial manner for the CODF’s consideration in vetting applications for funding support to relevant performances.
